I an an independent councillor on Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council, having been elected in 2019 to represent Shirley West.
If you are a resident of Shirley West and you’d like to get in touch, you can contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org or 0121 285 3883 (please leave a message).
I’m always happy to arrange a convenient time to talk to residents either in person or by telephone. On Mondays, I’m often in Two Mugs cafe on Haslucks Green Road between 12-2pm if anyone would like to drop in and say hello.
I have a particular interest in health and adult social care. I sit on Solihull’s Health and Adult Social Care Scrutiny Board, which oversees both the public health and social care services provided by the council, but also the NHS services in the area, and frequently attend Solihull’s Health and Wellbeing Board. I’m always keen to hear feedback about health and social care services from residents across the borough.
I’m also Deputy Chair of the Local Government Association‘s Community Wellbeing Board, representing LGA Independent Group. The LGA’s role is to support and represent local government, and the community wellbeing board deals with everything relating to health and social care. We engage with and lobby government on issues that affect local authorities, as well as providing information and support to councils. In this role, I also attend the National Suicide Prevention Strategy Advisory Group (NSPSAG) and the Health Devolution Commission.
